1. How do I edit the valuation rate for calculating the premium?

On the "Prepare Estimate" screen, first select the "Override" option. To apply carrier "Full Value" protection based on the weight of you shipment, select "RVP Minimum". To change the rate (per $100.00), select "Declared Valuation" then highlight the rate per $100.00 (0.40, 0.73, 0.75 etc.) and enter a new rate for calculation. Press "Enter".

2. Does the costing apply city/ferry surcharges?

Yes! However, geographical and environmentally based surcharges are subject to user input (at this time).

3. How do I add a miscellaneous charge?

On the "Prepare Estimate" screen, select the tab "Other Charges" on the bottom left. Then select the "Add Misc. Service" button on the top middle. A message box will open, describe the charge (example, Cartons), select "OK". To "Edit" the charge, select (double click) it from your list of charges. A message box will open, select your "Basis of Costing" such as "Flat or Fixed Rate", enter the "Extended Cost" (example $150.00) and any "Notes" (example, 50 cartons including delivery) and "Commit Costing".

4. How do I add service specific notes to the estimate?

On the "Prepare Estimate" screen, select the button "Print Preview Estimate". Once the estimate has opened, select (on the left) the tab "Report Notes". Use the drop down box to select the "Specific Service" (example, Linehaul) you wish to apply notes to, then select the "Enter New Notes" button. Proceed by entering your note (example, Subject to 4 hour min.) Select the "Accept New Note" button and the "Refresh". You note will appear on the estimate.
